Raúl de la Cerda is an interdisciplinary designer whose work has been exhibited at the most important fairs in the world, such as Salone del Mobile and the Salone Satellite in Milan, The London Design Festival, Dutch Design Week, Tokyo Biennale, Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Zona Maco, Design Week Mexico, and more.

His inspiration is life, constant curiosity, travel, art, his family, the people around him, and his country, Mexico.

He trained as a designer in Mexico, Paris, and Madrid, seeking his own conception of design. Generating new proposals of products and spaces, he always starts from a concept without forgetting its identity, its context, and the essence of each project.

In his work, he returns to the origin of the materials he uses the most: wood, stone, and metal. It does not hide its designs under indirect layers, but rather, it reduces them to their essence.

In 2015, he was named “One of The World’s Hottest New Talents in Design” by Wallpaper* Magazine, and in 2019, he became the first Latin American named “World Youth Designer” by Guangzhou Design Week in China. His work has been published in Dezeen, Dwell, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Frame, Domus, The Architect’s Newspaper, Forbes, and Monocle. In addition, he has collaborated with major national and international brands such as Starbucks, Louis Vuitton, Gray Goose, Audi, and Bombay Sapphire.
